Weekend at the Box Office

DUH launches on Tuesday (!) and life is going to get CRAY after that, so I took the weekend to relax and watch some of my favorite classic films: Forrest Gump, Se7en, and Pretty Woman. I love the scene in Pretty Woman where Richard Gere snaps the jewelry box on Julia Roberts' fingers! HA! FUN FACT: That scene was just supposed to be a prank on Julia. They weren't really planning to keep it in the film. But it worked and they kept it in because of her awesome reaction. There's this one scene where he says "Life is like a box of chocolates" (again, underappreciated work by the chocolate box in the scene, IMO, excellent box sounds). FUN FACT: While everybody remembers it as "My momma always said life IS like a box of chocolates," in the film it's actually "My momma always said life WAS like a box a chocolates." People are going nuts about this and think it's a tear in the fabric of our reality or something. But what happened was there was a "Making of" documentary, and in that version they used a different clip (that never made it to the final cut) where he says "is" and not "was." What was in the box? Was it really Gwyneth Paltrow's head?! Only the box and the head in it really know. It's an iconic scene, but it is Rated R, so I can't share much of it here because of all the cursing and suggested decapitated heads and Kevin Spacey.
